ALCFNow - Why should I serve God?

“So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. 15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”

4 Reasons why we should serve God:

1. Because of who He is.

2. Because of what He has done.

Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. 2 Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. 3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. 5 He fills my life with good things.

3. Because time is short.

4. Because judgment is coming.

For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body
